Sunday 26 January 2pm - 4.30pm: Paint and Prosecco with Nancy

Explore your creative side and brighten up your January by picking up a paintbrush with a glass of Prosecco too!

In this fun session suitable for all abilities, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own colourful portrait on canvas of the fabulous Frida Kahlo using mixed media materials and acrylics. If you like the idea of experimenting with bold patterns and shapes, trying different styles and having fun with colour then you’ll enjoy this class!

You can pre-order a plate of sweet treats with macaroons, mini scone and shortbread biscuit for an extra £5.

Saturday 8 February 10am - 4pm: Slash & Burn Textiles with Lee Harris

Slashing and burning aren't words one would usually associate with sewing but that is what Lee Harris does to create textile pictures and cards. Vintage and pre-loved fabrics are used to create truly one off pieces. Please come and join Lee at her workshop to learn and try this textile practice. Create your very own Super Hero or Action Hero! February Half Term Workshop for children and their grown ups. Spend the morning session creating, drawing and coming up with your very own superhero, from their look to what powers they will have to their iconic superhero pose. During the afternoon session you will be taking your polymer model action figure and making your very own superhero figure that comes with 9 points of articulation. Make these figures your own by painting, making items of clothing and clothing your figure with its very own superhero detachable capes. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or grab some delicious food from our tea room.

This coincides with the Fitzwilliam Museum exhibition Feast and Fast: The Art of Food in Europe 1500-1800 running 26.11.19-26.4.20. Discover how meals have been depicted in a selection of paintings, from a sumptuous medieval banquet to 19th century Impressionist picnics.
