Volunteer in the gardens
We are very lucky to have lovely green space surrounding Haddenham Arts Centre for our customers and visitors to enjoy. During the warmer months it’s a real bonus to be able to sit outside the cafe and hold events in our marquee. These areas need ongoing work to maintain the balance between the natural areas and the seating and event areas. If you are more of an outside than inside person perhaps you could volunteer some time to help planting, cutting a small area of lawn, weeding or caring for our herb bed.
Assist in the Gallery
We retail beautiful handmade gifts and artworks on behalf of many artists. Pricing and listing new stock for sale and keeping the displays dusted and looking their best is ongoing! It’s a task we are always happy to have help with. Serving customers and helping them to find a special present is very satisfying work, so if you are comfortable in a customer facing role and love talking to people then perhaps you could donate an hour or so a week or be on call to help out as needed.
Help in the cafe
We serve a range of light lunches, coffees, teas and a small range of homemade cakes as well as ice cream. Volunteer helpers are invaluable, particularily at busy times and for special events. You dont have to have any previous experience in catering!
DIY/Maintenance
If you are handy with DIY, we often have small jobs to keep the site in good order. Are you handy with a drill or a paint brush? Do you like cleaning?
Events
Several times a year, we hold full day events with visting artists and crafters. Volunteer help is always needed to welcome visitors and to support the activities of the day.
What could you offer?
If you have particular skills that you could offer, please speak to one of the members of staff or volunteers in the gallery. We welcome regular or occasional help and offer a warm, friendly working environment for our volunteers.
