Lead by our wonderful tutor Judith Handley. You will learn how to mono-print simple designs onto fabric to create backgrounds, and then design, and make simple linocut printing blocks.

Using these you can get creative with different patterns, repeats, layers, and arrangements, as formal or as abstract as you wish. By the end of the day, you will have created your own personal fabrics ready for any stitching project, upholstery or simply to frame.

You can also up-cycle any fabrics you would like to bring along by adding your own prints and I will have a selection of plain and printed fabrics available.

There will also be plain tea-towels and bags available to print onto (at an extra cost). All other materials and equipment will be provided.

The printing inks we will use are colourfast and washable.
