This bowl turning taster session with Jon Bailey will give you the opportunity to try turning a wooden bowl using greenwood on a traditional pole-lathe.

On the course, participants will take turns in turning a communal greenwood bowl, more if time allows. On the day you will learn:

- the properties of greenwood and why it is ideal for bowl turning.

- How to use an axe to create a bowl blank

- How to use bowl turning tools

At the end of the course names will be put into the bowl(s) and the lucky winner will take the bowl home. This course is limited to 5 people - ideally over the age of 16 to ensure safe tool usage.
