Interesting and unusual still life paintings in oils from Norwich based artist Joceline Wickham. Having studied at the Royal Academy Schools London in the 1970s. In the 1990s she trained as an Art Therapist and worked for many years in a mental health setting.
Joceline paints closely observed Still Life paintings in oil on wood panels. She is interested in looking at and paying attention to the ordinary beauty of objects that she sees around her. Sometimes these may have a particular meaning, memory or significance for her, sometimes she just loves and is interested in the look of them.
Joceline has exhibited her work widely in East Anglia and further afield. In recent years she has exhibited at the Fairhurst Gallery Norwich (two artist show), Gallery Last Zurich (one woman show) Society of Women Artists at the Mall Galleries London, Castle Museum Norwich “Inheritance”, Contemporary and Country at Houghton Hall, Geedon Gallery Essex, Byard Gallery Cambridge and several shows with the Royal Academy East Anglia Group of which she is a member. In October 2020 she was one of four artists in the exhibition “Home Ground” at Mandell’s Gallery in Norwich.
