Carol Whitehouse

Based in Cambridgeshire where she has lived all her life, Carol is a highly accomplished watercolour artist with a deep love for colour and painting flowers. Her artworks are bold and impactful and a celebration of natural beauty.

‘Watercolour is an exciting medium to work in as you never quite know what it is going to do but for me that is the fun part.  I love to flood the paper and let the paint “do its thing” and then use the shapes it has given me and incorporate them into my painting.   When I paint, I see the flowers as colour and shapes as this allows me to interpret them in my own way.  When the main body of the painting is finished, I spend time enhancing those accidental marks the paint has left me to play with.’
