Are you a bookworm?

We are starting a Book Club…but for that we need members!

Here at Haddenham Arts Centre we have a passion for all forms of the arts, not just the visual. Creative writing whether fiction or non fiction can bring joy, learning and stimulation for the imagination.

This first meeting will simply be a chance to meet and connect with fellow book lovers and bring suggestions and ideas ideas for any future books you’d like to read as a group. The meetings will be hosted by a former English Teacher and a regular volunteer at Haddenham Arts Centre. Kate loves to explore and discuss the historical context of the books, the countries they are set in and sometimes even theme the meetings around the book itself!

Our first shared read has been chosen by Kate and is ‘Great Circle’ by Maggie Shipstead. You will have until the next book club meeting on Tuesday October 3 to read the book. Please purchase your own copy of the book. Second hand copies are available to buy online or new can be purchased from Toppings in Ely. If you live in Haddenham you may even be able to borrow a copy from the village library. Please feel free to get a head start and begin reading straight away!
