Run by Cambridgeshire Skills the course is for beginners and aimed at those who are starting out and would like to find work in gardening/horticulture. It will introduce you to some of the core skills needed to work in this area and you will explore some of the topics that you might study on an accredited course.

Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at adults (19+) who are considering jobs in a Horticulture/gardening environment, but are not ready to undertake a formal qualification.

What can I expect to learn?
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Understand the basics of keeping your garden healthy
- Describe how to grow plants from cuttings
- Describe how to grow plants from seed
- Understand why to prune and demonstrate the methods
- Be able to select plants for different areas and soil types
