A Pop-up Paper Workshop with Sue Welfare

This short introductory workshop will give you a chance to explore simple mechanisms to create your own exquisite miniature pop-up worlds to make into cards or books or standalone collectables.

While drawing and painting your own pop-up elements is huge fun, if you’re not so sure about your drawing skills then collage is a great alternative. Repurposed children’s books, old greetings cards, magazines and catalogues are a great source of images, and Sue will bring along a selection for you to experiment with, although please feel free to bring along your own.

Paper, glue and basic drawing, painting and cutting materials will be provided but if you would like to bring long your own paints or drawing materials you are welcome to do so. Please bring an apron.

There is a café in the Art Centre or alternatively you are welcome to bring along a packed lunch.

Tea and coffee will be provided during the day.
